About Us

CORKART GROUP is a private family owned company founded by José Correia Neves in 1987, a man who was born and lived all is live surrounded by the world of cork. Today is proud to say that it counts with the expertise of three generations.

With state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, excellent and unique designs, high-end products and highly trained, skilled and experienced workers (more than 150), CORKART provides quality products, handmade in Portugal, with respect for the natural environment and showing all over the world the unique characteristics of cork, its benefits and range of applications. We are present in 5 continents and more than 25 markets around the world.

Our headquarters, with a covered area of 25.000 square meters are in Vendas Novas, Portugal, a town located in the heart of the Portuguese cork oak forests.

Corkart Group History

1949

Inside Mundet, a cork industry factory in Ponte de Sor, was born the Corkart’s founder - José Correia Neves

1987

Launch of the group that gave rise to Corkart, in Montijo - Texcork Company

1991

Launch of the Ecobrinde company, later represented by Cork Design brand

1997

Corkart factory inaugurated in Vendas Novas

2001

Corkart Industry (Starcork) establishment - group company dedicated to the production of cork components for floor and wall coverings

2004

Texcork unit was transferred from Montijo to Vendas Novas

2011

Diploma "Excellency" was given by the Portuguese Government

2014

Texcork integration within the Corkart Group

2017

Logistics platform establishment in Russia

Vendas Novas council awarded Corkart with the Gold Medal of Municipal Merit, an award that recognise the importance of the company for the city

2019

Corkart Russia brand launch through a local distributor aquisition

2020

New production factory of Solid Board Clic
